Description:
The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail has distinct tails on the hindwing. They are bright yellow and show ragged black stripes, like a tiger, along the anterior forewings & black marginal patterning on both fore & hind wings. The first submarginal spot on the hindwing is orange.
Habitat:
This butterfly is found along forest clearings, riversides, parks, & gardens. Spotted on County Hwy 29.
