Description:

The bluebirds were flitting about in the trees looking for insects to eat. They would hop around on the ground and then move up to tree branches for a rest. The medium sized songbird is one of the last to hang out in the fall

Habitat:

Open woodlands in the American West. They like to nest in old woodpecker nests
