Field Notes

Description:

Some bull thistle in a field near my house. Bull thistle is considered a weed around here but I think anyone who would kill native species for aesthetics is a retard. Bull thistle provides a good deal of nectar for pollinators. National flower of Scotland.

Habitat:

Native to most of Europe, Western Asia, and Northern Africa. Has been introduced to North America, Africa, and Australia.
