Field Notes

Description:

Tall large bird,slate gray to gray-blue body,underside and wings with a pale gray back. Head is white with a black stripe above its eye. Black shoulder patch and black stripe down a brownish colored long neck.

Habitat:

Bay and river inlet.

Notes:

This Heron was fishing on the outgoing tide in the late evening.
