Description:

Short rosette of widely lance-shaped leaves, very fuzzy on top, bottom, and stems. Veins recessed, prominent on underside. This would be a first year plant, as common mullein is a biennial that only grows a flower stalk in its second year.

Habitat:

Open grassy clearing on wooded hilltop.
