Description:

Elongate brown scarab with faint lines on the elytra, 1 cm long.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Notes:

These scarabs are pests of lawns and not a welcome sight in gardens.

Thanks Jemma, you're right, not a welcome sight and maybe we should be picking them up so they can't reproduce and keep destroying the lawn!
