Field Notes

Description:

It's about an inch long, with a big abdomen (possibly pregnant), orange to yellow markings on legs, and a marbled abdomnen.

Araneus marmoreus, commonly called the marbled orb-weaver, is a species of spider belonging to the family Araneidae. It is sometimes also called the pumpkin spider from the resemblance of the female's inflated abdomen to an orange pumpkin. - wikipedia

Habitat:

Apparently, it likes my windows.

Wikipedia states that: The webs are found in trees, shrubs and tall weeds, and grasses in moist, wooded settings and can frequently be found along the banks of streams.

Notes:

I recieved help identifying this spider from Keith Lewis on the North American Spider Identification facebook group.
