EOL calls it casque-headed lizard. A friend of ours who has lived here his whole life (30 yrs) has never seen one.

Oops, my comment got deleted. My guy has a helmet, I think either helmeted basilisk or helmeted iguana, same thing as far as I can tell.

Pretty sure it's Corytophanes cristatus
