Description:
The UK's coasts have many stretches of sheer cliffs where seabirds breed and the guillemot is one of the most numerous birds in the great 'seabird cities'. It comes to land only to nest, spending the rest of its life at sea, These birds are around the same size as a starling and huddle in to the cracks and on ledges of the limestone clffs on East Yorkshire's coastline.
Habitat:
seen at Bempton cliffs, near Bridlington. A site owned and maintained by the RSPB.
Notes:
Only found here from the end of March until the end of July after breeding, they then spend the rest of the year at sea.
