Field Notes

Description:

It has the habit semi-erect wings open from time to time while walking the floor, in an exhibition called "flash of wings". It is one of the best imitators of other birds in nature. Some people repeat the chant of up to 6 different species.

Habitat:

Open landscape with groups of trees or bushes, farms, scrub, also in the mountains. Walking through the fields and savannas or parks and vacant lots in cities usually in flocks. It can adapt the big cities, where they are available water and green areas where they can land, hunting and nesting. I found this specimen in a region of transition between Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.
