Description:
Butterfly in the Pieridae family.
Upper side of the wings is white with a black apex mottled in white. The underside of the forewings is very similar but the apex stain is greenish instead of black. The hindwings underside are greenish mottled in white.
Teh female is bigger and greener.
The wingspan is 40–48 mm. The butterfly flies from February to August depending on the location.
The larvae feed on Brassicaceae species.
Habitat:
Its range is mainly western southern Europe, being usually found in Portugal, Spain, France and north Africa but it has been seen as far east as Italy.
