Field Notes

Description:

Plant Green-yellow green; twice pinnate. Leaf with plications parallel to length. Deeply secund, and concave. Leaf margin entire for half the length, then serrate near tip. Allar cells not conspicuous, few inflated cells near base of leaf.

Habitat:

Very moist old growth forest in inland-coastal transition zone. Growing co-dominant with H. spendens, and R. robusta as an under-story carpet moss layer.
