Field Notes

Description:

Gray beetle with hard, rough exoskeleton. The pronotum extends along the head like "shoulders". There are no golden patches or swoosh marks on this species which helps differentiate it from the Diabolical Ironclad Beetle.

Habitat:

Oak woodland on dirt trail
