Field Notes

Habitat:

Gardens, roadsides, and open areas. This one was found at the edge of a wooded area near a river.

Notes:

The light was not in my favor for this photo. I was getting mostly a back-lit silhouette, but that also brought out the wing markings for an ID. A very large skipper, I thought it was a regular size butterfly.
