Field Notes

Description:

Small moth. Elongated body. Charcoal coloured. Looks as if pinched around the body at 2/3rd length of body but it is only because of strategic shading that it looks slim at that point...

Habitat:

Campus of the Neora Valley Jungle Camp.Hilly. Forested. Himalayan foothills. Remote. Moth paradise. Wild and forested area; the porch lights draw the moths in.

Notes:

There were many moths with this sort of structure...similar colours in this part of West Bengal. India.
