Description:
American Black Ducks are very similar to Mallards -- in size and in colour (but slightly duller & darker) -- and hybridization is pretty common with them.
Habitat:
Found throughout North America.
Notes:
The mom had several babies following her closely; and not too far away -- there were several adult male ducks feeding.
