Field Notes

Description:

17 cm
Takes pride of place on the Birds of the Indiansubcontinent Fieldguide

Habitat:

Nests in my Garden

Notes:

I see many of our Indian friends on Noah asking for identification of birds seen in India.
This Field Guide (second photo) is an invaluable asset to any-one residing in or visiting India.
The copy I have spotted perched on my bookshelf is 14 years old,a bit worn from my many visits to India, but so often flies down on my lap to be used to refresh my memory.
There is probably a revised edition by now.

OK, Lenny. Then a better alternative: please add a bit of description of the bird species in the Description box and then in the box called Notes you add the text refering to the guide book. Does this sound like a better option to you?
Facebook Whats that. Are you kidding me I;m 70 years old.I quit facebook because they also tried to change my life,
Dear Lenny, Thanks for the reference to the guide. What you could do is to post it as a message in Project Noah Worldwide group in Facebook. Because a guide book cannot be posted as spotting. Even though now you have the bird as first picture you should still describe the species of this bird in this spotting and not the guide book, in the description for the spotting.
Hello Lenny. While certain of your very best intentions, the bottom line is that this is not a wildlife spotting. Please remove this and replace with a bona fide spotting. Thank you.
Hi Lenny! Thanks for this valuable reference! Could you mention it on Nature chat, or on our PN Worldwide page, or as a comment on some spottings, rather than having it as a spotting itself?
