Description:

Mostly gray bird with red face and chest. There is a crest on the head, and the bill is cream-colored.

Habitat:

Calling his heart out from the brush near a creek in desert-scrub area.

Thanks Tom! Still trying for more photos of these guys when I'm in range for them, I think they are just beautiful! I need to make it out west still too, lots over there I have never seen :)
I like the looks of these Pyrrhuloxia and you did great with the photo! Some day I'll have to get back to the southwest and see these birds again, this time with a camera:-)
