Description:
This particular bird, which is thought to be a 3CY individual, is termed "leucistic" which means it has a genetic disorder which reduces its ability to produce melamin which is needed to add colour to the feathers. Albino's have pink eyes and rarely live to become adults in the wild, whereas leucistic birds are quite common and often lead normal or near normal lives.
