Field Notes

Description:

Large bee, I think some kind of digger. He was on the edge of the sidewalk not moving so we poured some water near him rightfully assuming he was thirsty. He started perking up right away but still wouldn't fly. He finally opened his wings but he just kinda stumbled to the edge and tried to get to the road. We got him onto my daughters jacket and moved him to a heather bush near by. He all but pounced on the nearest flower cluster. We left him a leaf with a bit of water in it and went on our merry way.
