Field Notes

Description:

light brown beetle with long antennae. Antennae have alternating dark and light wide bands, the most proximal being much thicker and having lateral hairlike whiskers. The legs also have white and brown color banded segments, white nearest the body. There is a distinctive lighter triangle between the wings, in the shoulder area. 4-5 mm in body length. Found on a raspberry leaf.
No real idea, but perhaps a member of Chrysomelidae - Leaf Beetles Family??

Habitat:

suburban backyard raspberry leaf.

Notes:

Note in second photo, the small white mite-like insect on the leaf under the beetle.
