I'm not sure, bayucca confirmed this at the ID on mine. Maybe your location is closer to Ecuador than northern South America. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/30324100

Dan, what about Arawacus aetolus? On the link you gave me it says: "Arawacus separata is distributed from Ecuador to Paraguay. It is replaced in Central America and northern South America by an almost identical species Arawacus aetolus."
