Description:

Each open nest is 1cm or less in width. The "eggs" are actually filled with the spores.

Habitat:

Found in an urban area in mulch (wood chips) after a good rain.

Notes:

Cyathus striatus can be distinguished from other birds nest fungi by the lined/grooved inside of the nest (cup).
