Description:
There were so many Giraffes that you were sure to have one come to you. They were tall enough to stick there heads over the railing on the board walk. They were very sweet and rather timid. They acted easy around young children and enjoyed being touched. Their short spotted hair felt course and waxy. Their horns were hard and hairy and their tongues wet, sticky, and incredibly long. These Giraffes were graceful and slow.
Habitat:
These amazing Giraffes were located at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. The Giraffe house and enclosure were the first ones through the gates!
Notes:
Being able to feed and pet these animals made me feel very special. I will never forget this experience. This zoo was set up very nicely and had breath taking views. I recommend visiting the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and I myself hope to return soon!
