Field Notes

Description:

Attractive little flowers with filamentous centers and glossy petals. They were only about 3-4 inches tall.

Habitat:

Grassy meadow.

Notes:

I saw this buttercup at Mount Loretto.

It might well be R. acris, but there's no way for me to confirm that currently. Again, thanks for your input, nisky912!
It is probably tall buttercup, R. acris, if it was in a disturbed area.
Thanks, Emily. I knew this was a buttercup already but was waiting for someone to give me a species level ID. I guess it's too hard to identify the species based on these photos.
Ali, I'm not sure if cheerful buttercup is the proper ID, although the genus is correct. I read that those grow in the Himalayas and are rather large compared to my spotting. http://www.flowersofindia.net/catalog/slides/Cheerful%20Buttercup.html
