Field Notes

Description:

small iridescent green hummingbird with extremely long tail

Habitat:

cloudforest, 2400m

Notes:

I spotted this at Acaime natural reserve in the Cocora Valley. There was a small farm/guesthouse that had a few hummingbird feeders up. A friend and I arrived there just as it began to rain heavily. We stayed for a while getting pics of the hummingbirds and it was still raining when we left.

Thanks bayucca. I have another photo that shows the light green iridescent patch on its forehead, so I'm pretty sure it is your suggestion.
