Description:

Found in Costa Rica in deciduous forests at elevations of 800 to 1050 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing, epiphyte with pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 2 to 4 leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 1 to 2, apical leaves that bloom in the fall and spring on a lateral, erect 20 to 32" [50 to 80 cm] long stem with 2 to 5 flowers per branch inflorescences.

Yes, they are really beautiful, I'm preparing to spot few species that I saw yesterday...wow, I like your plan to visit Croatia! I believe you'll like our mountain, sea and islands :) we have very high biodiversity and lot of endemic species.

The terrestrial are unbelievably pretty as well. I am already considering the mountains in Croatia as another holiday spot! :-)

That's amazing! Can't imagine how beautiful they looks in nature! I've never had a chance to see epiphyte orchid in wild, have to be satisfied with our terrestrial :)
