Field Notes

Description:

A lovely warbler with a bright yellow breast and neck, a gray cap with a white eyeing, and olive-yellow wings. Two of these gems accompanied the male Red-breasted Grosbeak in the apple tree (Rosaceae sp.).

Habitat:

Mixed deciduous/coniferous forest with many small lakes and streams.

The white eye-ring, gray head, green back, and bright yellow beast are distinctive.
