Description:

. It has long cylindrical body with beautiful whitish stripes. It also has a long thin red colored tail , this red colored tail is found in juveniles only and is replaced by spots in adults.

May be a type of Fire Tail, sorry cant be more help.
Looks like a type of skink. We have skinks similar in coloration and size here in the States. But I have never seen a beautiful reddish-orange tail like that! Skinks have the ability to drop their tail, and it looks like that may have happened to this one at one point in its life. I'm sorry I cannot help you on the specific ID - I don't know anything about the lizards of India. Beautiful photos!
