Field Notes

Description:

Characterized by golden-brown forewings which darken as they near the apex. The hindwings are as coppery-dark as the dark part of the forewing.

Habitat:

Mixed deciduous/coniferous forest by a pond. Came to a light at this area.

Notes:

Lifer! Thanks to James Adams who helped me in confirming this is Tortricidia, and might be T. testacea, or a new species: "It is Tortricidia. This morph is found sporadically throughout the range of testacea, but it may be a species in and of itself."
