Description:
The Black-headed Gulls actually have brown hoods while the Mediterranean Gulls have black hoods. These Black-headed Gulls share the breeding grounds with Mediterranean Gulls which tend to stick together in small groups. They nest on grassy ground as in Pic 1 but due to high water levels this year some have built up straw nests to stay above the waterline.
