Field Notes

Description:

This is a large black butterfly with cream colored spots and chevrons on both the upper and lower body. Also has blue and orange spots on underside of the wings. Thorax also has cream colored spots.

Habitat:

Open spaces such as lawns, gardens, fields, and stream banks.
