I don't know what really he do. But I think he just prepare for his pupa to undergo a process of metamorphosis to be a beautiful butterfly!

had a very hairy body and could makes you feel itch

I generally stay away from hairy caterpillar bodies, sometimes they can cause a bad reaction. He is just ready to form his hard shell. If you can get a picture when he comes out, it would be lovely!
