Thank you for the suggestion! I dont think its the same species though- the coloration is different as well as the head to body size ratio. It very well might be in the same genus though, i will do some research into that.
Yes, some sort of bush katydid I think. We call bush katydids "Scuds" because their group name (genus) is Scudderia. But, I'm not an expert.
