I went to Machias Maine to see the Puffins. I had hoped to see the babies and parents feeding them but alas I was to early. We are about two weeks behind in everything here in the East. I just had to be contented with the male Puffins that were milling about. I was in a blind with 3 other photographers. We were allowed 1 hour to take as many pictures as we wanted. At times the Puffins landed on top of the wooden blind we could here them walking around on the roof. For the most part the Puffins just stood on the rocks. This guy had just finished preening and gave himself a good shake and I was lucky enough to capture the more "puffy" Puffin look.
Aw, what a charming little bird! I second Alice: Story, please! :)
