Description:

This fish skull and some of the skin were found in a really dried up area where there was probably water at one point.

If it is that would be so cool! Are they native to OK?
Looking into it I think it may be an alligator gar judging by the size of the skull.
That's what one of the other people who was with me said. I just left it at "fish" because there's no way to ID it.
Maybe! My suspicion was that it had just died from lack of water (this area was pretty dry), but I have no idea.
Creepy and Cool at the same time! What a jaw he has/had on him. Do you think it may have been grabbed by an eagle or osprey and dropped there?
