Description:

This large grey Heron was one of a pair that was wading across a shallowish pond heavy in vegatation. It seemed to be looking for a clearing in all the pond weed where it could stalk its prey.

Habitat:

seen at Potteric Carr nature reserve, Doncaster.

beautiful bird! my favorite...I spent afternoon on lake and waited herons, but without success :(
