Wildlife Spotting

Black backed and hairy - has the hariy's comma mark and the coloring of the blackbacked. I can only guess they do hybridize

I want to say juvenile hairy woodpecker, but the orange stripe is too long. I'd say black backed woodpecker or three toed, but the entire crown would be yellow. Perhaps a hybrid of the two species? or a hybrid between yellow bellied and williamson's sapsucker? It's also way too small(assuming your feeder is 1/4 X 1/4 wire) for any of the above. If it's 1/2 X 1/2 then it makes sense. We are also seeing a lot of odd birds in Oregon right now, including hybrids. Where is Liam when you need him?
