Field Notes

Description:

Aquatic hermit crab with relatively slender laterally striped legs. Mostly brown with white stripes and spots, ends of claws fade to orange.

Habitat:

Gulf of Mexico, Carribbean, and Atlantic. This one was found in Big Lagoon which is separated from the Gulf of Mexico by a barrier island.
