Description:

The Little Wattlebird is a honeyeater of coastal and sub-coastal habitats, endemic to south-eastern Australia. This species likes grevilleas, banksias and other flowering native shrubs. As with other honeyeaters, Little Wattlebirds feed on nectar using a long brush-tipped tongue adapted to probing deep into flowers. Little Wattlebirds can have a double breeding season, first spring and in autumn again.

Habitat:

Planted tree near the beach, North Stradbroke Island.
