Field Notes

Description:

A small jumping spider that is black all over with a few white markings.

Habitat:

Found it on the steering wheel of my ATV, assume it came from the upland with sandy soil in an oak forest.

Thank you for the suggestion akussr, but the species you suggested is not known to occur in Texas according to BugGuide, and the ones you gave has a white band across the eyes and mine does not. And thanks quixotic and Karen!
