Field Notes

Description:

A follow up to the previous spotting with the many Colotis sp. I found this one among my photos. This one has no black marks between the orange and white part. The spotting shows two different butterflies. Wingspan 4 cm

Habitat:

High altitude mixed woodland (prim. Acasia bushes) and grassland. This was found on a plant next to a gravel road.

Notes:

Is this a third species of the orange tip butterfly?

No, it's just terrible weather so can't go outside plus don't feel like studying so the best excuse is to identify :)

Hmm, that is true! Did not see this before...
Interesting to see the "colour change" effect of sunlight on the wing tips at different angles on the second picture!
