Field Notes

Description:

This young snake was found wrapped around our kitchen door (out to our storage room) handle by my young son. He was startled, but thrilled! We have many of these snakes around our mountain home property. It was very thin and about 2 ft. in length. Apparently it had squeezed through the crack along the top of the door leading into the storage room from the outside.
