One-line Clingfish
Discotrema monogrammum
13.7278, 120.883
Field Notes
Description:
The One-line Clingfish got its name, monogrammum from the Greek words 'mono' meaning one and 'gramme' for line, referring to its diagnostic color character of one continuous pale yellow to white stripe.
They lives in commensal among Crinoids, taking the colours of the host Crinoid for camouflage. Pic#4 is the host Crinoid where I found them on.
Notes:
This species was recently described by Craig & Randall in the year 2008.
