Field Notes

Description:

A common sight on rocky cliffs and boulders. They find a way to grow where most plants will not. I often find mites inside them, as shown in photo 4. I almost always I find at least one of the flowers of a plant with mites in it. I think they like the pollen.

Habitat:

These were seen on the side of a steep cliff overlooking the ocean
