Field Notes

Description:

This very small orange fungus had dense short white "fur" on cap and stipe. Cap was about 7 mm wide. It looked rough but not to touch. Gills appeared spaced.

Habitat:

Spotted on the trunk of a large live Eucalyptus tree - damp Eucalyptus forest.

Notes:

This orange fungus was growing amongst clumps of brown capped mycena. Have had no luck with an ID yet.
