Description:

This plant receives its name because of the moth shape of the two bractea leaves that protect the forming flowers, which are white.
the shape is thought to have evolved to atract pollinators such as hummingbirds and butterflies.

Habitat:

Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve.
