Field Notes

Description:

At this point the babies are 4, 3, and 1 days old. The older two have started to grow feathers and look more like actual birds. Unfortunately this was the last time I saw them, two days after these photos I went to check on them and they were all gone. As they were too young to fledge, I'm sure they were eaten by a predator :(

Habitat:

In a bush in an oak forest.
