Fun fact! Lynx are perfectly adapted for hunting with eyesight so strong that they are able to spot prey as tiny as a mouse 250 feet away. The distinctive tufts on their ears act as an amplifier providing them with exceptional hearing.

It was a special photography trip with someone who was friends with the owners and we were safe the whole time, but it was awesome to be able to get up close with the animals. And the lynx was a rescue, they were kept as a pet at one point I believe and then was taken away.
A gorgeous animal! I wonder why it was being kept at the center, which closed in May. Perhaps that is best as it is not advisable to have people enter cages of wild felids and canids. Hopefully, the owners found a good sanctuary for the animals there.
Ya it was at the Muskoka Wildlife Center, I went with a group of photographers for a trip, I wish I could have been this close in the wild. I have seen then up north but this picture was taken when we went inside the cage.
