Field Notes

Description:

Small insect. Bright orange-red body and head. Protonum and wing buds black with yellow stripes. Some black and yellow markings on the abdomen. This species prefers to feed on members of the Mint family.

Habitat:

Suburban backyard, feeding on Oregano.
